I used Fun In the Sun for my honeymoon in 2004. I was only 19 when I purchased it in 2003 and the owner was very helpful. I had no idea what I was doing and she helped me find an amazing package for a whole week in Cancun on my very tight budget. My wife was blown away!
She's been to every sandals resort, so she could give us life-like details on each one, and not just whats the images depict on the brochures. Doesn't cost you anything....
We used this travel agent for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a complete nightmare, we took her suggestion on a hotel that ended up being like a sleazy motel you find. We were told we would be close to food and bars and come to find out we were 2.5 miles away and without booking a vehicle we were stranded. Then we asked for an adult cruise and she told us it would only have a few children on it and that was wrong how about hundreds of unruly kids. Running in the halls and pounding on doors and then playing on elevators. Then she told us to use ShoreTrips for our excursions and we did and found out our first excursion was basically to a inflatable kids park which was worthless to us and when we tried to cancel they told us tough be had to cancel 11 days prior. Then on the second excursion we find out that the times don't line up and the boat would have left us behind on Grand Turk so we didn't even go and we purchased insurance per there recommendation and found out that its not covered for those issues. We send emails or call and finally get a call back days later. She said her assistant would call and help but we never heard from them either. I would recommend people just do the research on the internet and do all the booking themselves. It may be more work but in the long run it would be less of a head ache and you may enjoy the trip more. Guess when you own your business it doesn't matter if you upset a few people. Well guess what we should all be the same.
